Free monthly music magazine The Fly topped the market once again with a circulation of almost 109,000 copies following an impressive 7.5% year on year increase.

Future Publishing's Classic Rock was the only other title in our analysis to enjoy a year on year rise.  The magazine was up by 1.5% year on year (and 1.3% period on period) to more than 71,200 copies.

Bauer's Mojo, meanwhile, saw its circulation fall to around 98,000 copies after a 2% year on year drop, despite being up by 0.8% period on period.

The publisher's other music titles Q and Kerrang! both suffered year on year and period on period declines.  Q's circulation dropped to below 95,000 copies after a 8% year on year decrease, while Kerrang! was down to 41,000 copies following a substantial 21.3% fall.

IPC's music magazines also struggled during the six-month period.  NME lost a hefty 20.6% of its circulation over the year, taking it down to 38,400 copies, while Uncut reported a 13.3% year on year decline to 75,500 copies.

Future's Metal Hammer also had a poor six months, down by almost 17% year on year to under 42,000 copies.
