At the same time, BBC Two's new three-part series A Band for Britain with Sue Perkins picked up 1.6 million viewers and a 6.7% share, while Five's 9 o'clock film For a Few Dollars More pulled in 1.4 million viewers and a 8.2% average share.

Earlier on in the evening, Monday evening's soap line-up dominated the pre-watershed ratings.  ITV1's Coronation Street attracted more than 10.4 million peak viewers, while BBC One's Eastenders banked over 9.7 million peak viewers.
