ABCe May 2010: Mail Online on top again

ABCe data for May 2010 shows that the Mail Online was once again the most popular national newspaper website, with a daily average unique browser figure of almost 2.4 million.
The Guardian enjoyed a 9.4% month on month increase, taking it to an average of around 2 million unique browsers each day.
It was a good month overall, with all five ABCe audited national newspaper sites recording growth.

The Telegraph was up 4% on April, giving it an average of around 1.6 million unique browsers, while Mirror Group enjoyed a boost of almost 14%, taking its total to more than 502,000.
With an average unique browser figure of around 482,000, Independent.co.uk was up 5.8% on the previous month.

ABCe no longer reports Unique Users and has simplified this metric to Unique Browsers, brought on by a call in the industry to focus more on daily figures, rather than monthly and this has been highlighted in the way the figures are formatted in ABCe's reporting.
