Broadband provider TalkTalk is to launch an in-house trial of YouView in early 2012, ready for launch in Spring.
According to the analysts update released today, a trial will begin in Q4 (Jan-Mar 2012) with up to 3,000 of its YouView set-top boxes distributed to staff as part of the trial to "focus on the end to end customer experience".
A pilot will then taking place in late Q4/Q1 for up to 10,000 households, with the full launch in Spring 2012, aimed at Freeview's 8 million strong customer base as the target market.
"The launch of YouView next year will be a major development for TalkTalk and we are on track to offer a value for money product of phone, broadband and TV in Spring 2012," the company said in its interim results.
