MediaTel is excited to announce twelve new industry panellists for its sixth consecutive Media Playground event on March 20.

One of the industry highlights of the year - running for the first time as an event partner in 2013 with Ad Week Europe - the day will see leading industry figures give expert insight into topics affecting the sector, as well as partaking in lively debates. Delegates will also be able to take part in technology demonstrations.

David Rowan, Editor of Wired UK, will be giving a keynote address on new technologies and opportunities, with another four panels set up throughout the day that will focus on a broad range of stimulating areas in media: Screen, Social Media, Mobile Advertising and the Data Debate.

The Screen panel, set to discuss topics such as second screening and connected TV, will be chaired by Director of Lovelace Consulting, Graham Lovelace, and participants include: Jon Block, Controller of Digital Products at ITV; Jon Hewson, Ad Director at Rovi; Nigel Walley, MD of Decipher; and Simon Rees, MD of Digital Cinema Media.

The Social Media panel will be joined by Jon Cornwell, Founder of Newsflare, and Adam Freeman, Founder of Mutual Media. They'll be getting heated over topics from the advertising potential of Twitter to the effects that TV and social have on brands and programmes.

There will be thought-provoking debate on the Mobile Advertising panel, which will see experts cover the ever-increasing use of mobile, the launch of Weve, and mobile marketing potentials. The panellists are: Oliver Robinson, Research Manager at GfK; Simon Andrews, Founder of addictive!; Dan Hagen, Head of Planning for Carat; and Ed Couchman, UK Sales Manager for Facebook.

The Data Debate panel will see Nick North, Head of Innovation at GfK, and Rhys McLachlan, Head of Corporate and Business Development at Videology, debate a range of topics from targeted advertising to premium advertising opportunities in the digital world.

After the debates are over, guests will be invited to have drinks with live music and entertainment provided.

Media Playground is due to happen on March 20 and tickets are still available from the MediaTel events page.
