ITV Wins Major Awards

ITV has won two of the top four awards at the International Television Festival of Monte Carlo. The ITV drama Harnessing Peacocks won the Golden Nymph for best programme in the Television Film Category. Harnessing Peacocks also won an award for best script.

In the News Reportages category, the Golden Nymph award for best programme went to ITN for The Storming of The Russian Parliament.

The award for Best Actor went to Robbie Coltrane for his performance in Granada’s drama series Cracker. Central Television’s Saddam’s Killing Fields won an award in the Magazine/Current Affairs category as well as a press prize. The awards will be presented at a gala dinner tonight.
