Total Football First Issue Review

Total Football, the new monthly title from Future Publishing has launched today. It has an initial print run of 120,000, is 100 pages long and retails for £2.25 although the first issue is available at an introductory price of 99 pence.

In its first issue there is an interview with Stan Collymore, Liverpool's new record breaking signing, a preview of the new football season and who to look out for, and everything you ever wanted to know about Fantasy Football League. Regular features include; Result, "covering all the stories the other football magazines find too hot and saucy to cover", Red White and Shite this month looking at why so many people hate Arsenal, a review of the latest football related videos and books and The Big Fat Quiz.

The feel of Total Football is that of a football equivalent of Loaded magazine and is aimed at 18-30 year old males. The cover price is more expensive than Shoot or Match but is in-line with magazines aimed at the older reader like When Saturday Comes and FourFourTwo. Of the 100 pages, 15 are given over to advertising. Main display advertisers include Vauxhall, Carlsberg and Sky Sports.
