Flextech, the UK cable and satellite group, has ceased negotiations with Fox Broadcasting Company over the sale of its children’s channel, TCC.
Negotiations have been running for months (Newsline 30/11/95) with Fox hoping to buy the Flextech-owned channel for its own network, Fox Children’s Network. It is not known what caused the deal to flounder but Brent Harmon, managing director of Flextech said: “The decision to end negotiations was amicable and the relationship between the companies involved has not been harmed. Flextech will continue to buy programming from Fox for its channels.”
