Match of the Day, a new weekly football magazine, will be launched on August 15. The title represents BBC Magazines’ first launch since Top of the Pops in March 1995. Priced at £1, the publication is aimed at adult football fans (15-34 year olds).
Stuart Smith, Publishing Director Said: ” There has been a huge growth in football titles recently but none of them offer adult fans the intense weekly fix that Match of the Day will provide. It will be the forum for opinion and debate from all sides of the game – an essential read for dedicated fans of football.”
Contributions will come from the likes of Gary Lineker, Trevor Brooking, Alan Hansen Jimmy Hill, Alan Greene and Pat Murphy.
