£1.5m Sponsorship Deal For NME

IPC Ignite! has announced a one year, multi-media sponsorship deal for NME worth £1.5m, with Miller Genuine Draft. The deal, titled “Bring It On” will run across digital, live and paper platforms from May this year.

The three main constituent parts of the deal, brokered by IPC ignite’s newly restructured ad sales operation, will be a monthly 24-page listings guide, a microsite and sponsorship of breakthrough talent gigs.

The listings guide will contain regionalised news, reviews and gig listings for up-and-coming bands in the UK. It will be distributed with NME, initially for a year from 3 May, as well as in bars and stores stocking Miller Genuine Draft.

The microsite will be hosted by NME.com, which attracts over 1.2 million unique users per month, and will include a ticketline, webcasts and a chat room. This also goes live on 3 May. Miller will also sponsor 12 live NME music events across the country.

In addition Miller will sponsor NME‘s SMS ticket alert service and receive branding on the music title’s e-newsletter. The initiatives will be promoted via advertorials in NME, Loaded and Uncut.

Jessica Smalley, head of business development for ignite! said: “It took three months of hard work to secure the deal, but the depth of brand matching that has been achieved is testament to the commitment of all parties to drive the right result.”
