Virgin Signs Six Figure Ad Deal With Fujifilm

Virgin Radio has signed a six-figure advertising deal with Fujifilm, designed to raise awareness of the brand in the run up to this summer’s World Cup.

The interactive cross-media advertising campaign, which includes on air and online activity, will run over a three week period from 11 May targeting both men and women who need to brush up on their football knowledge.

Pre-promotional on air activity begins on 8 May with a competition offering football fans the chance to win tickets to the tournament. From 13 May to 2 June Virgin Radio listeners will be encouraged to take part in further competitions and will be directed to a specially created Fujifilm microsite accessible via Virginradio.co.uk.

In addition to the microsite Virginradio.co.uk will carry banner ads and links to the Fujifilm homepage.

Commenting on the deal, Virgin Radio’s group enterprises director, Steve Taylor, said: “This campaign serves both Fujifilm and Virgin, in that it is of interest to everyone at the time when the World Cup grips the nation.”

Last week Virgin announced details of two new sponsorship deals, one with Cuervo Gold tequila for the Virgin Radio Party Show and one with Toyota promoting the car manufacturer’s involvement with this year’s Grand Prix (see Slammers And Racers For Virgin Radio).
