Heart 106.2 Appoints New Marketing Controller

Chrysalis-owned London radio station Heart 106.2 has appointed Tina Finch as its new marketing controller.

Finch takes up the position on 5 June and will work to develop the Heart 106.2 brand across London and on a national scale. She joins from IPC where she was marketing manager for women’s celebrity title InStyle.

Commenting on the appointment, Heart 106.2’s managing director, Steve Parkinson, said: “Tina’s knowledge of the media market is excellent. We look forward to welcoming her at such an important time in our evolution.”

According to RAJAR data for the three month period ending March 2001, Heart 106.2 saw its weekly reach increase by 7.4% year on year to 1,680,000. The station also recently relaunched its breakfast show, which will now be presented by Emma Forbes, as well as Jono Coleman.

Last month Chrysalis signed a six-figure advertising deal with Tetley to sponsor breakfast shows on London’s Heart 106.2 and 100.7 Heart FM in the Midlands (see Chrysalis Brings Tetley To Heart Listeners).
