Opus Creates Dedicated Customer Service Role

Opus Creates Dedicated Customer Service Role

GWR’s sales division, Opus, has responded to research by creating a dedicated customer service role within its newly structured sales division. The job of customer service manager has gone to Fiona Muir, formerly trade-marketing manager within the GWR internet division Ecast Ventures.

Opus managing director Duncan George, said: “Customer service has long been a mantra for companies, but in very few cases is it actually delivered. The research we undertook indicated that our clients are not getting the service they expect. Opus will be going out of its way to ensure that customer service is a priority.”

A study conducted by Continental Research for Opus found that while customers think that levels of service offered by media owners are improving, standards still fall short of client’s hopes and expectations.

The new customer service manager will work across the sales operation, liasing with clients and agencies at both a national and regional level. Key responsibilities will include research into customer’s needs and expectations and the identification of areas for improvement.
