LBC Sets Its Sights On London With New Signing

Chrysalis has poached BBC Radio Five Live’s deputy controller, Steve Kyte, to become editorial director of its recently acquired London news radio station, LBC.

In this new role, Kyte will oversee the creation of LBC’s on-air content and will work to increase the station’s audience share in the capital.

Kyte has had an varied broadcast career and prior to joining BBC Five Live, he produced live news programmes for Capital Radio, Sky News, Thames Television, CNN and LBC.

Newly appointed managing director at LBC, Mark Flanagan, commented: “We’re thrilled to be able to land Steve for this plum role. He’s a professional at the top of his game and there’s no one in UK radio better qualified to help us build the new LBC.”
