Capital Disney Secures Deal With Twentieth Century Fox

Capital Disney, the digital radio station for 8-14 year olds, has secured a cross-platform content and advertising deal to promote the latest movie release from Twentieth Century Fox, Cheaper by the Dozen.

The venture between the Capital Radio Group and Twentieth Century Fox is the first of its kind and features online advertorials, as well as traditional radio spots and sponsored show elements.

Online listeners be will targeted through banner advertising, film reviews and audio clips of the film. A range of competitions will also be run with the opportunity to win private film screenings.

Commenting on the venture, Capital Disney’s commercial marketing director, Gavin Miller, said: “Digital radio allows new specialised services to deliver highly compelling brand content on a national level. This gives advertisers, like Twentieth Century Fox, access to a targeted audience across the country.”

The move follows the announcement of Disney’s plans create a £50 million network of 24-hour regional radio stations, allowing high-profile advertisers direct access to their target children’s market (see Disney To Launch Children’s Radio Network In UK).
