Total Film Secures Movie Partnership With Stella Artois

Future Publishing’s flagship movie magazine Total Film has secured a high-profile deal to promote the forthcoming Stella Artois Screen Tour, which launches across the UK next month.

The deal will see Total Film contribute to the official Screen Tour screening notes, as well as giving away copies of the magazine to viewers at the event, which runs between July and November.

The Stella Artois Screen Tour is now in its ninth year and has become one of the country’s most established film events. This year the tour will show thirteen cult and classic films in nine cities across the UK including Manchester, Nottingham and Edinburgh.

Commenting on the partnership, Philippa Montgomery, marketing manager of Total Film, said: “With Total Film going from strength to strength, this deal is perfectly timed to build on the magazine’s profile – growing awareness of the brand as well as targeting a large number of potential new readers.”

The latest ABC results for the six months to December 2003 reveal an impressive performance for Total Film, which saw its circulation increase by a solid 5.4% year on year to 90,580. The magazine has gone from strength to strength since its launch, with circulation rising by more than 71% since 1997.

Rival film magazines have also enjoyed the success seen by Total Film. Emap’s Empire saw circulation increase by an impressive 15.9% year on year to 190,659 and IPC Media’s Uncut experienced a more significant 21.9% rise to 111,167 during the same period.
