GroupM has revised its 2010 adspend forecast up from zero growth in December to +4%.

WPP’s media buying operation said that TV advertising would provide a big boost, with a year on year increase of 11.6% in 2010.

Looking slightly further ahead, GroupM predicts 3% growth next year, with TV expected to rise 3% next year.

National newspaper advertising is expected to fall 2% this year, with growth of 2% in 2011, while radio advertising should be up 6% this year and 4% in 2011, said GroupM.

In April, Magna released its upgraded UK adspend forecasts, predicting 3% growth this year, up from its previous forecast of 1%.

ZenithOptimedia’s latest UK and global adspend growth forecasts predict UK growth of 1.3% this year and global growth of 2.2%.
