iProspect nabs Xaxis’s Blodwell to lead on programmatic

Digital performance marketing agency, iProspect, has made two additions to its UK team. Wayne Blodwell joins the agency from Xaxis as head of programmatic while Gareth Owen, formerly of 360i, takes the position of strategy partner. Both positions are entirely new.

In a statement, iProspect said Blodwell will focus on “providing clients with clarity around the fast-evolving technology and processes central to programmatic buying” as well as working closely with the Dentsu Aegis trading desk Amnet.

“I am excited to be joining an agency that has digital in its DNA,” said Blodwell. “Working with colleagues across our multi-channel offerings I am looking forward to developing programmatic strategies for our clients that effectively and efficiently drive campaign performance.”

Alongside Blodwell, Gareth Owen joins iProspect in the newly created role of strategy partner, working with the largest group clients. Prior to iProspect, Owen was formerly head of performance at Dentsu Aegis Network’s 360i as well as holding positions at agencies including Steak and The Search Works.

Commenting on the appointments, Matt Adams, chief media officer at iProspect UK said: “Wayne and Gareth are the best at what they do and I’m delighted they are joining us. They are both able to lead and define complex fast moving disciplines whilst having digital at their personal core.

“These talents are a rare commodity and I’m excited about the positive impact they will bring to our clients, product and teams.”
