Media Week and Marketing Magazine to close

Marketing Magazine and Media Week are to close, publisher Haymarket has announced, with both titles folding into an expanded version of Campaign magazine.

Media Week, which has been in existence for more than 25 years, went online-only in 2009 and borrowed much of its content from other Haymarket media titles.

Marketing’s editor Rachel Barnes will become Campaign’s UK editor, led by global editor-in-chief Claire Beale.

It is not yet known how many job roles will be affected by the move – or whether there will be any redundancies.

Campaign’s sister title PRweek is unaffected by the changes.
