TV market round-up: February 2016

February was a relatively static month for commercial terrestrial channels; however, total satellite revenue was up 17.1%.

A 3.2% revenue increase for Channel 4 saw the broadcaster surpass the £50 million mark – up from £48.6 million the previous year.

While ITV Breakfast was up a small 1.3%, the main ITV channel was down -1%, meaning total terrestrial revenue was up by just 1% year on year to £167.1 million.

Meanwhile, total satellite revenue hit £175 million.
