Blackwood Seven, the media agency that uses artificial intelligence to make planning and buying decisions, has appointed Elliot Parkus as UK managing director.
Parkus was previously MD at Havas-owned media agency Arena Media, and will support Blackwood Seven’s co-founder and UK chief executive Henrik Busch.
The Danish-based company opened its doors in London in October last year, supported by a deal with the7stars that will see the two businesses work together on pitches.
“Elliot’s appointment is representative of our rapid growth within the UK market,” Busch said.
“As more and more brands look to integrate AI into their media plans, Elliot’s expertise will be necessary to communicate our AI market proposition. We’re confident that Elliot will be a great asset to the company, enabling Blackwood Seven to reach its maximum potential.”
Elliot has over 20 years’ industry experience. Before working as MD at Arena Media, he was UK group director of planning at The Specialist Works. His career also includes stints at Zenith and Starcom MediaVest Group.
