WPP names Lindsay Pattison chief transformation officer

Lindsay Pattison has been appointed chief transformation officer of WPP, which she will take on alongside her current role as chief transformation officer of GroupM.

Pattison will oversee WPP’s 50 global client teams and help to deliver on the group’s core strategic priority of ‘horizontality’.

In an internal statement, WPP CEO Sir Martin Sorrell said: “As you know, our single most important task is to ensure we provide our clients with a seamlessly integrated offer, as they demand greater simplicity and efficiency from their marketing services partners.

“Horizontality will increasingly be reflected in the structure of the Group itself, as well as our client teams, country managers and organic collaboration between our companies.

“Lindsay will play a key role in that project as we continue down the path of greater integration.”

Pattison was named chief transformation officer of GroupM in May 2016, after two years at the helm of Maxus Worldwide.

Prior to that she was global chief strategy officer and UK CEO of Maxus, and has also held senior roles at Young and Rubicam, PHD Media and Sony Ericsson.
