Mediatel is delighted to announce the shortlist for the 2018 Connies Awards.

The Connies brings together the established UK Connected Consumer Awards from Mediatel and the internationally based Connected TV Awards from Videonet, now part of Mediatel Events.

More than ever they recognise innovation and the emerging best practice from across all sectors of the media landscape, showcasing initiatives that meet the needs of leading media businesses and practitioners in delivering value to the connected consumer.

The shortlist for both the UK and international categories – which will both celebrate a Grand Prix winner during a prestigious ceremony on 8 May – are as follows:

Chair of the judges and director of Chartroom, Mark Cross, said: “We were delighted by the range and depth of entries for the Connies this year. They act as a great barometer on the quality and increasing mix of talent, skills and capability in our industry that at best, produce truly remarkable results.

“The Judges were put to the test by all but congratulations goes those who made the shortlists, your entries were exceptional.”

Meanwhile, John Moulding, editor-in-chief of Videonet, added: “This year’s International categories contain important ‘firsts’ and products with the potential to completely change the way we do things in television.

“Even after a decade of hyper-disruption and technology change, the rate of innovation is still impressive in this market.”
