Fenton named new OMD UK MD

OMD UK has announced the promotion of Laura Fenton to managing director.

In her new role Fenton will be responsible for driving and developing the day-to-day business and delivering “best in class” services for clients.

Fenton joined the agency as a graduate in 2004, spending three years up to 2014 as the client services director at OMD’s branded content agency, Drum. During this time, she has led on a number of OMD UK’s key client relationships.

The news follows a string of agency promotions and hires. Alison Ashworth joins as chief strategy officer from Carat, where she was a global strategy partner, whilst the agency has also promoted Jess Roberts to chief agency development officer and Christian Byron to chief operating officer.

OMD UK has also recently won a number of media accounts including Barclays, Betway, BSH, Lidl and Tourism Ireland.

“I am thrilled to be able to promote from within our own agency, showcasing the already excellent talent and leadership that exists and has been central to our success over the last 12 months,” said Dan Clays, CEO of OMD UK.

“It has been an outstanding year for the agency and I’m excited to build on this over the coming months with a supercharged agency leadership team behind me.”
