DMG promotes Williams as Rush departs

Following the departure of chief revenue officer Clare Rush this week, DMG Media has promoted Dominic Williams to executive director, advertising for Mail Metro Media.

Rush was central to the creation of Mail Metro Media – which unites the ad sales for the Daily Mail, The Mail on Sunday, MailOnline, Metro and Metro.co.uk, to open up “better opportunities” for advertisers across the full portfolio of consumer titles.

Williams, formerly Mail Metro Media’s deputy chief revenue officer, will take on Rush’s responsibilities in the newly created role. He will be responsible for looking after client relationships and partnerships, whilst continuing to lead digital direct for MailOnline and metro.co.uk.

In the new set-up, Williams will continue to report to Martin Clarke, MailOnline publisher, as Rush did prior.

Williams said: “I’m really excited about my new role working with an amazing team. Mail Metro Media represents the most popular newsbrands in the UK, and I look forward to partnering with our advertisers in order to deliver results for them.”

Before joining DMG Media as chief investment officer in July 2017 Williams held roles at multiple agencies, including Dentsu Aegis Network and media agency Carat.
