MC&C Media wins Lovehoney TV buying account

Lovehoney, a leading online manufacturer and distributor of pleasure products and lingerie, has awarded its global TV planning and buying account to indy media agency MC&C.

The multi-million pound account covers the UK, Australia and the US, and is worth £1.9m in the UK alone.

The self-proclaimed “sexual happiness people” are looking to accelerate plans for international expansion; MC&C will therefore be creating bespoke media plans to deliver the strategy of initiating more conversations around pleasure products, initially across the UK and US markets only.

“We wanted to partner with a creative, smart, performance-driven TV agency with bags of UK and international expertise and a proactive strategic approach to help us achieve our business objectives,” said Helen Balmer, Lovehoney’s brand & marketing director.

“MC&C are a results-driven entrepreneurial bunch who share our innovative approach and ambitious drive.”

The news sees the company move on from its partnership with another independent media agency, The Specialist Works.

Robin Trust, managing director of MC&C Media, said: “Lovehoney is such an exciting client for us to partner with and we are delighted it shares our vision for its advertising. It is a forward-thinking, open-minded business with some big plans for the future. This win gives MC&C a fantastic new opportunity to move into a vibrant, growing sector.”

MC&C now brings in £57m in billings, with clients including TM Lewin, David Lloyd Clubs, UNICEF and Royal Mail.
