Kinetic boss Stuart Taylor to step down

Kinetic UK, WPP’s out-of-home agency, has announced that its CEO Stuart Taylor will be retiring in June 2019.

Appointed as UK chief executive in 2013, Taylor was tasked with rebuilding and strengthening the senior team while overseeing growth in digital screens, planning and trading technology.

Taylor will be working closely with global leadership over the next few months to appoint a new leader for Kinetic’s UK operation.

“It has been a true privilege to lead Kinetic through such a period of transformation, not only navigating the rapid expansion of digital inventory and capabilities, but also continuing to drive revenue growth for the medium as a whole,” Taylor said.

“I am so proud of all that we have achieved as a team and I leave an organisation in great shape for the future with a formidable team of passionate experts with whom it’s been an absolute pleasure to work.

“I’m excited for this next chapter, having always planned to make a change at this time in my life. I have loved my time in OOH and remain of the view that this is the most exciting media sector around so I will continue to take a keen interest in the industry on its journey of transformation.”

Kinetic Worldwide Global CEO Marc-Antoine de Roys added: “We are sorry to see Stuart go but fully understand and respect his decision. He has been a key part of the success Kinetic has enjoyed over the last few years and a passionate advocate for the OOH medium.”

Taylor was previously the chief executive of Guardian Media Group Radio.
