Mediatel Events launches The Future of Audio

With radio in rude health and evolving tech transforming the nature of voice, Mediatel Events has launched its first conference exploring the opportunities and challenges audio presents advertisers, agencies, and those in the radio business.

The Future of Audio conference will address a number of key themes, including podcast advertising, the impact of smart devices, audio branding, and how agencies are restructuring themselves to effectively meet the audio revolution.

“Having spoken to several key players in the market, we are genuinely excited about the launch of the Future of Audio conference,” said Steven Scaffardi, head of Mediatel Events.

“Unlike a lot of other event launches I have personally been involved with, this doesn’t feel like we’re jumping on the bandwagon of the latest buzzword in media and advertising, nor does it feel like it is a subject that has been overexposed in the events world. It feels like we’re debating a subject that has real value to the media ecosystem, and that is exactly what Mediatel Events is setting out to do with our new Future series of events.

Commenting on the launch, Lucy Barrett, client director at Radiocentre, The Future of Audio’s industry association partner, added: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Mediatel on this event. Audio is growing, and radio is by far the biggest part of this audio revolution.

“As the appetite for audio advertising strategies grow and the landscape continues to evolve, there is a lot to discuss about how brands can use the powerful audio medium to their advantage in the future.”

The full-day event will take place on October 15, at the Soho Hotel in London. Tickets can be purchased here, with early-bird tickets available until August 30.
