Glucklich departs Amplifi amid business restructure

Pippa Glucklich is to step down as the boss of Amplifi , the innovation and investment arm of Dentsu Aegis Network, following a restructuring of the business.

Glucklich, a former CEO of Starcom UK, only took on the role in May last year, and led all four business divisions, including investment, media partnerships, programmatic and entertainment content. She oversaw around 200 staff.

The news comes as Dentsu announces a series of organisational changes across Amplifi, following an internal review, which will see the business move its programmatic trading team from Amplifi into iProspect; move its M1 team into Dentsu Data Labs; and reintegrate its media investment teams back inside key media agencies including Carat, Vizeum and dentsu X.

There are currently no plans to replace the CEO role in the UK.

“The evolution of our Amplifi structure in the UK enables us to bring teams with exceptional skills and expertise together to deliver the absolute best value and partnership to our clients by being much more closely aligned to their businesses,” said Euan Jarvie, CEO, Dentsu Aegis Network UK & Ireland.

“It remains a critical part of our organisation as our supply-side management arm, focussed on ensuring we can meet and exceed our client requirements through a closer working partnership with our people, our clients and media vendors across the UK.”

A well known face in adland and a champion of diversity and wellbeing, Glucklich stepped down from Starcom after five years at the end of 2017. Her media career spans more then 25 years.

“Since joining the business 18 months ago, Pippa has made a significant and notable contribution to the continued evolution of our media investment offering, as well as playing an active role in our Women & Leadership programme,” added Jarvie.

“She leaves us with thanks and our best wishes for the future.”

Dentsu confirmed there is no reduction in headcount as a result of the changes.
