Bruce Daisley quits Twitter

Twitter’s EMEA boss has announced his departure after eight years with the social media business.

Bruce Daisley, who joined Twitter in 2012 as UK managing director before being promoted to vice president covering business in Europe, Middle East and Africa in 2015, will take time out to promote his book.

In a Tweet sent on Monday (6 Jan), Daisley said: “This week I reached a milestone of 8 years at Twitter. I decided it’s time for a change… so today was my last day.

“I feel so lucky to have worked on a product I love with the best people in the world. What an honour.

“I’m going to take some time off. My book is out in paperback next week, and out in February (called Eat Sleep Work Repeat) in the US.”

Daisley had previously worked for Google as director for YouTube and Display and spent almost a decade working for Emap.

In a parting message, Daisley also asked his 26 thousand followers to contact him if they wanted free help in tackling climate change.
