Havas Media appoints head of media experience

Havas Media Group has poached Carat’s Jackie Lyons for a newly-created role, head of media experience.

Lyons will lead a dedicated media experience team of 30 in her new role. Last year, Havas launched a new media experience methodology – Mx – which according to the agency, “capitalises on the most meaningful media to build more meaningful brands”.

She joins from Dentsu-owned Carat after five years with the agency, most recently as planning partner. During her time at Carat, Lyons developed a number of bespoke client processes that allowed her team to incorporate more data-led insights, bridging strategy, planning and activation.

She has also worked at media agencies including Mediavest (now Spark Foundry) and PHD.

“There’s a real buzz about Havas Media Group at the moment, and I can’t wait to be part of it,” Lyons said.

“The new MX methodology is a brilliant way to get to media solutions that connect the dots between the right people, the right content and the right context in a meaningful way – which is exactly how I like to work.”

She will report into chief planning officer John Paul Cadman, who added: “I’ve had the pleasure of working with Jackie before, and when we created this new role, I knew she’d be perfect for it.

“She is passionate about her craft; clients love her, and she just gets the job done. I’m really excited about her joining Havas Media Group, and I have no doubt that she will play a pivotal role in the continued success of the agency.”
