National news brands join Ad Net Zero initiative

National news titles have signed up to the Ad Net Zero initiative committing to cutting carbon emissions in their operations by 2030.

Newsworks will coordinate the cross-industry group including Mail Metro Media, The Evening Standard, The Independent, News UK, Reach, Telegraph Media Group, The Guardian and the News Media Association.

The Ad Net Zero 2030 initiative was set up in November 2020 by the Advertising Association, ISBA and the IPA.

Ad Net Zero aims to reduce carbon emissions in advertising by 2030 across business operations, media plans, production, events and promote sustainability in advertising as a whole.
