Brett Aumuller appointed Sky Media managing director

Brett Aumuller has been named as the new managing director of Sky Media.

He will replace Tim Pearson who quit the role at Sky Media UK after only six months, as revealed by The Media Leader in September.

Aumuller is currently managing director at NOW TV and in the new role will be responsible for Sky Media’s “ambition” in the UK alongside driving growth with agencies across Europe.

He will transition into the new role over the next few months, splitting his time from May and going full-time in July.

Aumuller has been at Sky for more than 20 years with roles including manager of trading and was part of the management team at Sky Italia.

Patrick Behar, Sky’s chief business officer, told colleagues in an email seen by The Media Leader today: “[Aumuller’s] successes at Sky mean he already has a deep understanding of our market and how we work, and fully embodies the values that make Sky the best place to be.”

Pearson has since joined LadBible Group to reunite with his former Manning Gottlieb OMD boss Colin Gottlieb.
