Guardian appoints Fox as chief advertising officer

Guardian News & Media has appointed journalist-turned-commercial chief Imogen Fox as its new chief advertising officer.

Fox has been part of The Guardian since 2004, progressing from assistant fashion editor to head of fashion. She moved into the newsbrand’s commercial department in 2016 where she has held leadership roles including executive editor of Guardian Labs and, most recently, director of advertising.

She will report directly to CEO Anna Bateson and is tasked with shaping The Guardian’s advertising strategy, overseeing key relationships with clients and agencies, and maximising revenue growth.
