IAB Opens Resources To Non-Members

The IAB is to make its library of research material and its content-rich email briefings available to non-members in an attempt to make its activities more transparent.

The initiative, which is part of the IAB’s reinforced commitment to promoting advertising, marketing and e-commerce across all digital platforms (see NewsLine Column: The Web – Where Do I Start?

Danny Meadows-Klue, chairman and chief executive of the IAB, said: “The Knowledge Bank gives easy access to a wealth of resources the IAB has collated. It is an invaluable resource for traditional and digital marketers that reflect our work across research, standards, marketing, education, training and public affairs. Broadening the audience for our email briefings gives a greater number of people the tools required to accelerate the growth of interactive platforms.

The IAB is facing increasing pressure from the recently launched European Interactive Advertising Association, which was formed by leading European internet portals to promote the value of online advertising campaigns to major agencies and clients (see Portals Join To Form New Pan-European Internet Ad Body). In an attempt to stay at the top of its game the IAB recently unveiled the “five golden rules” for effective online advertising to encourage brands to spend more on internet marketing (see IAB Unveils Golden Rules For Online Advertising).
