Telegraph Gets A Flying Start With Travel Deals

The Daily Telegraph has secured sponsorship deals for three of its Saturday tabloid supplements, which have been developed to coincide with the New Year holiday booking season.

Each of the supplements will be promoted by ads in the Telegraph as well as with 300,000 banner ads on the travel.telegraph.co.uk website and in 3,000 posters in newsagents.

The first supplement, which will be sponsored by Sovereign Holidays, will be published on the 18 January and will feature luxury holiday destinations such as Thailand.

The other two supplements will be sponsored by Bridge The World travel group and will include specially designed tour itineraries. One will be centred around Australia with features including how travel in a camper van and food and wine, and the other, which will be published in February, will focus on destinations in the Far East including Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore.

Chris White-Smith, display advertising director at Telegraph Group, commented: “The Daily Telegraph‘s Saturday package, including our regular Travel section, is the ideal place to find these keen travellers before they leave these shores.”

The Sunday Telegraph‘s TV and radio supplement recently secured an ad deal with the BBC to promote its free digital channels with advertising and advertorials (see Sunday Telegraph Secures BBC Ad Deal).
