Future Publishing Launches Laptop Magazine

Future Publishing is expanding its computer gaming portfolio with the launch of Laptop Magazine in response to the growing mobile computer market.

The new monthly title will have a cover price of £3.99 and will be aimed at mobile computer users of all levels, providing a user-friendly resource to all things wireless from laptops and PDAs to printers and gadgets.

Laptop Magazine will contain a mix of the latest news, reviews, in-depth tutorials, practical buyer’s guides and case studies. The title also comes with a free cover-mounted CD of laptop-related software every month.

Commenting on the launch, Dave Taylor, publisher of the new title, said: “With laptop sales soaring and wireless gadgets becoming ever more popular, Future with its portfolio of computing and technology magazines is ideally poised to provide a jargon-free, stylish guide to mobile computers.”

He continued: “As such, Laptop Magazine is aimed at this new generation of consumers, who are often on the move and require an easy-to-understand insight into the world of portable technology.”

The launch of Laptop Magazine will be supported by point-of-sale promotions as well as by an advertising campaign across Future’s computing portfolio.

Future Publishing recently gave its monthly What Guitar? magazine a new look less than six months after it launched (see Future Publishing Gives What Guitar? A New Look).
