DRDB Unveils New DAB Identity

The Digital Radio Development Bureau (DRDB) has unveiled a new brand identity and logo for use by all its members, in an attempt to create consistency across the industry.

The new logo (pictured) can be used under licence from national digital radio broadcaster Digital One on all literature and point-of-sale material and advertising. It has been designed to be neutral enough to appear alongside the branding of manufacturers, broadcasters, retailers and other partners. However, the logo will not appear on digital radio products as a DAB logo already exists.

Alongside the new logo, the DRDB has introduced a new strapline: “Hearing is Believing”, to promote the sound quality of digital radio. Last month the organisation rolled out the second phase of its awareness-raising ad campaign on analogue radio, which features the voice of veteran DJ John Peel (see DRDB Rolls Out New DAB Awareness Ads).
