Natwest Trials New Emap Ad Division

Emap advertising has secured Natwest as the first brand to use its new Broadcast Innovation department, which will offer clients bespoke solutions combining Emap radio and TV brands.

The new division, to be headed by Adam Bullock, will offer radio and TV advertisers fully integrated broadcast solutions combining Emap’s regional radio brands with its national portfolio of digital TV brands, including Kiss and Magic.

Traditional radio sponsorship and promotion will be also handled by the Broadcast Innovation department, which is the first major initiative to be set up by recently appointed head of broadcast sales Tim Bleakley.

The unit has just completed its first broadcast solution with Natwest for its “Feel The Noise Live” events. This will incorporate live music events across Kiss and Big City stations like Manchester, Leeds Liverpool and Newcastle, with special programming features running across Kiss TV, The Box and Smash Hits.

Bullock said: “This is a natural development for us taking our radio sales and promotion expertise and applying it for the full benefit of our customers across all our broadcast platforms.”

Last week Emap announced plans to roll out SMS activity across all of its print, radio, online and TV brands to generate advertising revenue by allowing third parties to make promotional offers to via SMS in conjunction with Emap brands (see Emap Teams With Flytxt For SMS Rollout).
