Chrysalis Radio Appoints New Agency Group Head

Chrysalis Radio Sales has promoted Dan Durling to the position of agency group head with responsibility for managing accounts across Heart, Galaxy and Real Radio.

Durling takes up the position with immediate effect and will manage a team of seven, reporting to London sales director Gerard Bridges. His main responsibility will be to oversee agency sales to clients including OMD, BLM, Optimedia and MediaVest.

Commenting on the appointment Bridges said: “Dan has always been a committed and competent member of the team. It is always a pleasure to be in a position to promote from within and reward the in-house team we have.”

Durling, who has been at Chrysalis Radio for five years, joined as account planner in 1997 and has worked for additional clients including Carat and Starcom.

Last week Chrysalis announced the signing of a six-figure, three-month advertising deal with Tetley, which is to become the first brand to sponsor breakfast shows on London’s Heart 106.2 and 100.7 Heart FM in the Midlands (see Chrysalis Brings Tetley To Heart Listeners).
